KMC Z 8 Speed 116L Chain

No issues

I used this to replace a rusty chain on my Diamondback 3x7 speed. Worked great and the quick connect master link was very easy to use, especially with a pair of master link pliers. The master link is reusable in case you get the sizing wrong on your first try.

This chain was ordered to replace the badly rusted one on my Raleigh Vector hybrid bicycle. It fit perfectly with no modification needed and was very easy to install. This chain is quiet and smooth and seems to be very durable so far. I could not ask for a better chain for the price.

Need to finally change the years old chains on my bikes and the KMC chain fit without any issue. Packing differs depending on vendor, but getting the chain in the plastic case with separated partitions for the master link felt reassuring. I've not had any issues with installation or use on either bike from the chains. Just keep in mind it's always good to measure it up to your old chain, as such I need to use 2 chains for my beach cruiser.

This chain shifts smoothly and is quiet. Paired with a new freewheel, it made an old road bike (1980's era) feel almost new. Easily as good as more expensive Shimano chains and seems smoother than Regina narrow chains I've been using on several 6- and 7-speed bikes. Can't yet speak to durability, but after 1500 miles of winter riding, it hasn't seemed to stretch or wear yet. I haven't had any issues with the "missing link", which is probably an added potential convenience.
