Was waffling between buying the Park pliers and some knockoff brand for half the price when I came across these. KMC makes good chains so I figured their chain tools would be decent as well. Very pleased when these arrived. They're sturdy and nicely made. No regrets getting these over the Park ones, and they're cheaper too.

Love this set of pliers. It's way less expensive than the Park and works perfectly. Sure, it only unlocks the Missing Links, but locking them is so easy to do either with the cranks or by hand that it really doesn't matter. Well built. Who doesn't love buying a new tool?

Not much to say, it works really well as expected.
In the past, I've been able to "unlink" Sram & Vipperman master links by hand, but was unable to unlink the master link (referred to as "Missing Links" by KMC) on my KMC 11 speed chain. This tool worked perfectly.
This chain plier is better than the PARK TOOL plier because it has a spring that self opens the jaws.

For years I have messed with the tools I had at hand: chain hooks, narrow pliers, bare hands, etc.
Finally bit the bullet and added another tool to the garage. No regrets - this is a timesaver and cuts frustration for those maintenance jobs I always put off.
If I lost this I'd buy another right away.
