KMC X-SL 10 Speed 116L Chain

I replaced a broken Shimano chain. So easy to install with quick link. Big improvement shifting. Smoooth! Makes it easy to remove for deep cleaning. Hey everyone, replace your chain before it gets too stretched out. Saves how often you replace your cassette!!!

My first chain lasted about 3,000 miles before it began to skip or "stutter" sometimes as I peddled. My current, 2nd, chain is still working well after about 2800 miles but I went ahead and bought this one in advance assuming I will need it within the next year. ( all three have been the same brand of chain) Only issue 8 have with these is that they come sticky with grease. I've always understood that chains should be dry lubed with a product like white lightning. So at some point I will clean the sticky grease off with kerosene and then use white lightning. I'd suggest purchasing a quantity of the master links and replacing these more frequently.

Impressively light, it makes the chain feel like it has less friction and also greatly reduces the sound.
As a recommendation change the rear pulleys with ones with ball-bearings like Dura-Ace RD-9070, it may seem insignificant but it really complements the chain for outstanding results.

I was nervous buying this chain instead of the Campy Record 10. Saved money and the chain is perfect. Simple to put on with no special Campy tool required and the chain has not skipped or shifted poorly ever in the 1500 miles since installing. Shifting is just as smooth as with the record 10 chains I've shelled over too much $$$ in the past. I'll not ever be buying a Record chain again. I highly recommend this chain to Campy owners.

A friend of mine who used to own a bike shop recommended this chain, and it is a damn nice chain. Goes together easily, like Sram and shaved off considerable wiight. I've put 1oo plus with almost 5,ooo ft of climb, so far with no problems.
