KMC X 10 Speed 116 Link Chain

I typically use SRAM chains, which have been my go-to for at least two decades. But my bike fleet is expanding and I quess I'm getting more thrifty. My 8 year old just upgraded bikes and I was suddenly in need of a 10 speed chain for his "new" 2001 Fisher Wahoo (Wa-Hooo!).
What is there to say? This chain was cheap, KMC is a trusted brand, and their version of the Power Link works as well as the ones I am accustom to from SRAM. Shifting is flawless.

Solid built chain, very silent, and better than OEM one. upgraded the chainring from 30t to 34t, and had to change the chain on my mtb, which was sized for the smaller chainring. The KMC chain arrived on time, was very easy to install, and also eliminated some of the noise and occasional issues when changing gears which I had with the previous one. Good buy, I'll see how long it will last.

My bike came with a KMC 10sp chain that worked well for a season but wore enough to start having shifting issues when I changed chain rings. So nice to put a new chain on! The 116 links were the exact length I needed with the master link. It is tricky to snap closed without the special tool but needle nose pliers worked. I find that the 10sp chains wear way faster than the old beefier 7 and 8 speed chains.

These shift nicely and wear well. This is my 5th set and they last so long. I get about 5k miles on each chain.

I don't have a ton of miles on this chain yet, so can't really comment on longevity but so far so good. It was very easy to shorten to the proper length and install, even though it was my first time installing a bike chain. Did it on the living room floor with a piece of wire to hold the chain in place, some needlenose pliers, and with the chainbreaker on the multitool I carry under the seat for field repairs. It came with a masterlink which made the job easy even for a noob. With a little help from youtube anyone can do this.
